Young & Short is a distribution band of short films that characterizes its generation. It is a collection of short films depicting topics that are important to young viewers and that they enjoy. Once again this year, you and your peers aged 12 to 19 can select the films.
Selected jurors will have the opportunity to watch the 10 most notable short films from leading film festivals during a selection day spent at the Kino Kavalírka. From these, they will select five that will be distributed to Czech cinemas and schools. We offer the young jurors not only a high-quality film experience, but also a specially created programme with lectures, discussions, interesting guests and workshops.

When: Sunday, March 1, 9:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

Participation in Young & Short is selection-based. In the application, we will ask you to express your motivation for participating in the programme and to tell us your opinion on the last film you saw. We are interested in your relationship to film and your ability to think about film (and it doesn't matter whether you liked the film or not!).
