First Audiovisual Connect LAB (AC LAB) partner meeting in Amsterdam

At the end of January, the first partner meeting of the Audiovisual Connect LAB (AC LAB) project took place at the Eye Filmmuseum in Amsterdam. Over the next two years, the project will explore the film literacy of young people aged 15–19 across Europe through a series of project days, teacher circles, surveys, and the development of educational methodologies in eight participating countries (the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Hungary, and Greece).

During their time in Amsterdam, partners took part in two days of planning meetings, workshops, and inspiring talks and sessions, including contributions from Anna Schultka of Kids Regio, representatives of the Dutch network of educational film hubs, and a meeting with Scottish actress Tilda Swinton.

The event was part of Audiovisual Connect LAB (AC LAB), an international project co‑funded by the European Union, aimed at strengthening the film literacy of young people aged 15–19 and supporting the long‑term development of audiences for European cinema through the integration of education, research, and advocacy.
