Audiovisual education is one of the world's most important trends, reflecting the enormous impact of the audiovisual on children and young people as well as society as a whole. The development of critical thinking, aesthetic perception, diversity of opinion, the transmission of experience, but also resistance to elements of manipulation and the promotion of democratic processes, as well as new possibilities for personal expression and creativity, are absolutely essential for the future of society as a whole.

That is why the Audiovisual HUB was created in the Kino Kavalírka, intended for teachers, representatives of organisations, school principals and all others concerned with audiovisual education.

The Audiovisual HUB provides:

• Translation and editing of foreign methodologies.
• Examples of good practice from abroad (experts, lecturers, foreign teachers).
• Promotion of the concept of regional centres.
• Wider information about the project for teachers, principals, schools in the region - through school founders and regional support organisations as well as own contacts
• Contact centre for methodological support for teachers for Prague and Ústí nad Labem region, or other adjacent localities
• Lesson formatting for children, students and teachers

The operation of the Audiovisual HUB is part of the planned wider network of Audiovisual HUBs, which are part of the strategic development and professionalization of the Association for Audiovisual and Film Education, which is being established in cooperation with the Czech Ministry of Culture and a number of industry organizations (the Documentary Film Centre in Jihlava and DAFilms).
